As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be supporting building analytically intensive software on top of vast amounts of data served securely over the web to many of the world's largest organizations.

Software Quality Engineers are responsible for ensuring great products and analytics for our users. At Mastercard, SQE work directly alongside software development engineers and product managers in small teams and are deeply engaged throughout the entire development process. From feature outset to feature rollout, SQE are involved every step of the way guaranteeing the highest quality product and fastest possible software delivery. Innovation is also a key facet in the role. Software Quality Engineers are expected to never settle for the status quo in how Mastercard approaches its testing challenges and always look for ways to accelerate or improve the testing tactics taken.

This position is based out of our Dublin, Ireland office, but will be working closely with our US teams based in Arlington, VA and Pune, India.

Role

Ensure all calculations are correct in all possible circumstances
Manage and coordinate large efforts allowing Mastercard to deliver software at a constantly rapid rate despite huge data volume
Make sure users, regardless of statistical background, have a great user-experience by understanding the end-user's use-cases and the business problems they are trying to solve
Find and implement ways to automate testing as much as possible
Continue to innovate and consistently learn new technologies

Have an immediate opportunity for increased responsibility, leadership, and personal growth
Own the release management process for your team and innovate on code and database deployment methods for applications developed by your team

All about you/Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Prior experience in a statistical or technical role that required critical problem solving
Highly motivated professional with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Individuals who are curious, creative, and love open-ended problems
Demonstrated analytical / quantitative aptitude
Team first attitude, dedicated to team success
Keen sense of prioritization and ability to time
Prior experience with automation, API testing is a plus
Experience with database technologies, R statistics packages, agile software development processes, big data tools such as Splunk, and testing tools such as Selenium or jMeter is a plus
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
