Overview

Global Risk & Compliance team is looking for a strong, people focused Manager to lead development teams. We are looking for Managers who can bring unique perspectives, have strong people management and mentorship skills, and have experience leading teams through the ever changing technology landscape. In this role, you will lead multiple Teams through various projects which are critical to Mastercard, leveraging technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry and microservice architecture while using Agile/SAFe methodologies.

Role
• Responsible for leading a team of IT Professionals for the development and delivery of quality software solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Hands-on technical leader that brings considerable experience doing application development for customer facing applications using a broad range of technologies.
• Interacts with technology staff including Software and Test Engineers, Product management, and Program management to identify scope of project/s and deliver services.
• Successfully lead definition, development and delivery of major cross-department initiatives with broad scope and long-term business implications.
• Partner with business to identify innovative solutions and drive strategic decisions. Develop business case in alignment with the MasterCard objectives.
• Actively look for opportunities for Innovation and creative problem solving. Make presentations to the Senior Management, Business Owners and other Stakeholders and help them in decision making process.
• Responsible for hiring and developing engineering talent
• Owner of one or more major functional areas of our code.

• You are experienced in distributed system design and implementation, and understand how to build high-performance, high-reliability operation of large-scale distributed systems. You master consensus mechanisms, partitioning and sharding, and reliability engineering.
• You have expert level knowledge of software development processes, and you practice Agile at an advanced level.
• You have experience and knowledge of Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD / DDD).
• You are an experienced user of one or more Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Rally, Jira).
• As a leader, you own your code repositories. You are a Git expert and have experience with one or more SCM hosting tools such as GitHub or BitBucket. Your repositories look like trees, not bushes.
• You are experienced with CI/CD.
