Overview
The Customer Experience & Design Team (CX&D) within Corporate Solutions is looking for a Visual Designer to drive our customer experience strategy forward and enable quality consistent experiences across B2B products and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, experienced with design systems, highly motivated, intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and possesses a collaborative mindset.

Role
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the visual and interaction foundations of our product ecosystem, ensuring consistency, scalability, and a high-quality user experience. You'll collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and product managers to craft a robust design system that meets the needs of a growing, dynamic organization and upholds Mastercard's high standards for product experiences.

Responsibilities:
• Design and document a library of reusable UI components, patterns, and guidelines that enable product teams to create a cohesive experience for B2B products
• Partner closely with engineering, product management, and other design team members to understand requirements, ensure feasibility, and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Deliver on the design system's roadmap, ensuring alignment with company and product goals for web and native app solutions
• Collaborate with design partners to educate and instruct on design system contribution and adoption models for implementation
• Navigate an agile work environment and perform responsibilities within 2-week sprints, maintaining progress and priorities in Rally/Jira software
• Participate in design reviews, contribute to code reviews, and collaborate on quality assurance to maintain a high standard for visual and interaction design across products
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new design tools/techniques, continually refining the system to meet modern UX and design standards
• Rapid prototype new component functionality in Figma Work with developers during design/dev handoffs to ensure components are built to UI spec and QA'd

All About You
• Proficient in Figma and familiar with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for seamless collaboration with developers
• Experience in product or UX design, with a strong understanding of atomic design, design systems, tokens, component libraries, or UI kits. 1-2 years of experience working with design systems is preferred.
• Experience designing for native mobile applications and creating standards and patterns across platforms
• Self-starter, autonomous, problem-solver and can execute with minimum support from managers and senior-level peers
• Clear communicator with strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, striving for pixel-perfect deliverables
• Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices (e.g., WCAG) to ensure inclusivity in design
• Prototyping skills and comfortable supporting design documentation

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
