Overview:

Mastercard's Technology Strategy and Transformation team is looking for a Senior Vice President to lead Mastercard's Technology Product Optimization Program.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong product and change management expertise to partner across Mastercard, leading the definition and execution of the strategy, product vision, roadmap, execution, roll-out, and adoption of Technology Product Optimization capabilities. The primary objective is to drive business value and cultural change across the enterprise through transparency and optimization of our products' financial and carbon costs, by leveraging Technology Business Management (TBM) and Cloud FinOps practices, and utilizing tools like Apptio, to provide data-driven insights to optimize product usage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Vision and Leadership:

Set a compelling strategic vision to enhance Technology Product Optimization capabilities and drive business value for the enterprise.

Serve as a credible thought leader, staying informed about market trends and emerging best practices, and using industry insights to drive innovation.

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and ensure alignment with financial, operational, and carbon reduction goals.

2. Product Management:

Be responsible for developing and maintaining a product pipeline of innovative capabilities with a significant value proposition to the organization.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and refining Technology Product Optimization models to ensure they remain aligned with evolving business needs.

Move quickly to deliver key projects, ensuring effective prioritization, clear milestones, and timely delivery.

3. Change Management and Adoption:

Develop comprehensive change management strategies to drive effective adoption aligned with strategic objectives.

Lead the implementation of change management initiatives across the enterprise, ensuring that TBM and FinOps models are adopted, and organizational change is managed effectively.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise, creating powerful, business-outcome-focused narratives and content.

Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization, working with technologists, finance and product professionals to gather feedback and best practices, and to drive continuous improvement.

Develop impactful visuals and reporting to explain financial and operational models, gaining buy-in and fostering understanding among stakeholders.

5. Program Prioritization and Delivery:

Lead the development and end-to-end delivery of the Technology Product Optimization roadmap.

Drive the roadmap development and execution, prioritizing effectively to ensure the alignment of resources, timelines, and deliverables, and drive them to successful completion.

Move fast to deliver projects that align with strategic goals, driving momentum and proactively identifying risks and obstacles to ensure smooth execution.

Proven ability to focus on data quality, ensuring data is incorporated into the TBM model and linked with technology teams to share insights and ensure strong data fidelity

All About You:

Leadership & Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset with proven success in a senior leadership role, driving strategy, product management, change management and program execution across a large enterprise organization.

Product Management Experience: Proven ability to apply a product management mindset to build, grow, and scale enterprise assets at a senior leadership level.

Change Management Expertise: Extensive experience in developing and executing change management plans, with a strong understanding of change management methodologies and tools to drive effective adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with experience coordinating across cross-functional teams to build strong relationships to gather insights, feedback, and best practices to enhance the TBM/FinOps models.

Communication and Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the organization, with experience creating visuals and reports to explain financial and operational models to foster buy-in from stakeholders, while creating a motivating work environment powered by accountability and recognition.

Technical Acumen: Experience with agile development processes and methodologies, and the ability to lead engineering capacity where required.

Results-Driven: Ability to move fast and deliver projects with clear milestones, prioritizing effectively, and driving the completion of projects that contribute to Mastercard's strategic goals.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
