Senior Specialist Payment Optimization

Overview
As consumer preference for digital payments continues to grow, ensuring a seamless and secure consumer experience is top of mind. The Digital Transformation (DT) team is responsible for optimizing and monetizing the value of Mastercard's Consumer Solutions through a data-driven approach & product and network thinking.
The Optimization Solutions team, part of the DT organization, focuses on improving digital authorization performance globally, identifying areas of opportunity, and actionable solutions to capture material revenue, lift approval rates, and improve the overall payment experience.
The team seeks a Senior Specialist to play a central role in overseeing operations and managing special projects, facilitating a collaborative environment supporting Optimization priorities and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform general administrative duties to support day-to-day department operations in such areas as scheduling meetings, completing travel arrangements, expense reporting, maintaining management calendar, taking and distributing meeting minutes, generating copies, screening mail, ordering supplies and maintaining department records.
• Prepare and coordinate correspondence, memoranda, reports, presentations or other assigned documentation.
• Oversee projects supporting Optimization Solution priorities and ensure leads provide inputs on deliverables to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
• Research special topics as assigned.
• Partner with Optimization Leadership Team to establish, improve, and enhance business processes to optimize efficiency.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining departmental budget and other documentation to maintain and monitor departmental information.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the team to drive innovation and excellence.
• Regular engagement and collaboration with partners within Digital Transformation and across the business.
• Partner with DT Executive Business assistant to plan team activities.
• Serve as administrative liaison within and outside the company.

• 2-4 years of business experience with a proven track record to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Passion for driving innovation and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
• Trusted partner who can manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; ability to understand unspoken sensitivities and exercise absolute discretion is a must.
• A standout content/storyteller (customer presentations, executive meetings, simplifying complex subject matter into simple to understand concepts), with strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Appetite for dynamic working environment; comfort with ambiguity, ability to flex as needed
• Attention to detail; strong affinity for organization and process
• Background in management consulting or chief of staff roles a strong plus
• Education: Bachelor's degree required

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
