Senior Software Engineer-2

Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative development team. This role involves engaging with Product and Business stakeholders to prioritize tasks, automate software processes, and lead design discussions. You will be responsible for integrating services, enhancing the customer experience, and continuously improving engineering metrics. Additionally, you will mentor team members, review coding standards, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your expertise in front-end frameworks, secure coding, and test-driven development will be crucial in building and maintaining high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.

Role:
• Engage in team prioritization discussions with Product and Business stakeholders.
• Estimate and own delivery tasks (design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet business requirements.
• Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software.
• Lead code, design, and process trade-off discussions within the team.
• Report status and manage risks for primary applications/services.
• Drive integration of services focusing on the customer journey and experience.
• Conduct demos and acceptance discussions with Product owners.
• Continuously improve operational and engineering experiences and metrics.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependencies.
• Promote the adoption of technology standards and frameworks, review team members' coding, testing, and automation work.
• Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes and eliminate waste.
• Share and seek knowledge within the Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns, libraries, and practices, enhancing productivity.

All About You:
• Strong understanding of core JavaScript concepts, frameworks, and markup and styling (HTML/CSS) languages for web content.
• Proficient with Angular, React, and other modern frameworks and libraries.
• Skilled in responsive design and creating dynamic layouts.
• Expertise in optimizing front-end implementations for speed and efficiency.
• Solid understanding of front-end design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficient with front-end development tools like Figma and Storyboard.
• Experienced in creating wireframes and prototypes with the ability to iterate quickly.
• Knowledgeable in creating and maintaining design systems and style guides.
• Capable of writing secure code in multiple languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java, C#, Python) and familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management.
• Understanding of core engineering principles in building and running mission-critical software (security, customer experience, testing, operability, simplification, service-oriented architecture).
• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting client-side and server-side issues.
• Skilled in test-driven and behavior-driven development (TDD and BDD) to build just enough code and collaborate on desired functionality.
• Familiar with advanced design patterns (e.g., service-to-worker, MVC, API gateway, intercepting filter, dependency injection, lazy loading) to implement efficient code.
• Experienced in authoring test code with a test pyramid approach (many small tests, fewer contract tests at the service level, and even fewer journey tests at the integration level).
• Proficient in collaborating with team and business stakeholders to estimate requirements (e.g., story pointing) and prioritize based on business value.
• Understanding of how to build robust tests to minimize defect leakage through regression, performance, deployment verification, and release testing.
• Experienced in conducting product demos and coordinating with product owners to drive product acceptance signoffs.
