Overview
Be part of the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team developing new capabilities for Mastercard's Decision Management Platform, which serves as the core for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity. Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability. The Technical Business Analyst is the person who liaises between the business and development teams, eliciting and translating internal customer needs into IT objectives, identifying possible solutions, and defining project requirements.

Role
• Meets with business leaders to discuss and elicit under-the-surface needs and translate them into specific business/project objectives.
• Responsible for identifying and defining scalable, comprehensive solutions, working and coordinating across teams.
• Provide detailed technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met.
• Provide subject matter expertise for assigned project.
• Perform analysis of functional and technical requirements, elaborate features/stories and success criteria in an Agile methodology format.
• Facilitate scoping sessions and lead review sessions of technical requirements/stories.
• Hunger for Systems and Technical knowledge - constantly analysing and innovating new, better approaches to our systems.
• Produce complete analysis documentation of system requirements.
• Identify gaps in requirements.
• Identify dependencies between teams.

All About You
The ideal candidate would have the following PRIMARY skills:
• Manages changes in project prioritisation and scope, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and impacts are fully understood.
• Visualises, understands and documents the holistic solution for products.
• High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative, Agile environment.
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
• Very high attention to detail.

Experience:
• Proven experience in technical requirements gathering and documentation.
• Knowledge about Java backend systems and web UI's.
• Experience with REST based web services; JSON, XML.
• Experience with Oracle & PL/SQL.
• Relevant experience in requirements gathering and relationship building with business clients.
• Proven Agile experience with a track record of being able to lead project teams, collaborate with business partners, vendor/consulting organizations and peer level professionals.
• Experience with high performance, high availability transaction processing systems and multi-tiered web applications.
• Proven ability to analyse software requirements, model business processes/workflows, and align software requirements to business strategy.
• Proven experience working with software engineering teams, preferably in an agile environment, to collaboratively deliver working software.
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex software systems, and communicate effectively with technical specialists.
• Proven capacity to balance your work across multiple projects/work streams while still meeting deadlines.
• Possess exemplary written and oral communication skills (English language).
• Able to negotiate requirements and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
• (Desirable) Finance or Payment Industry experience.
• (Desirable) Experience with SAFe methodology.
• (Desirable) Security experience.
