While specializing in the payments industry, Services team also works closely with major retailers, airlines, and other enterprises, leveraging data and insights garnered from within and beyond its network.

Role
The Senior Managing Consultant (SMC) - Business Development is responsible for managing the relationship of Mastercard Advisors with some of its key clients, by developing a deep understanding of client strategic needs, developing and overseeing the delivery consulting projects in pursuit of improvements in clients' payments businesses and operations. The SMC manages internal team of consultants and/or third party vendors, managing the day-to-day relationship with clients and Mastercard internal stakeholders, controls quality of the deliverables, and develops & delivers presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Together with division lead and the business development team shape growth strategy in Brazil and ensure execution of the strategy
• Identify the most critical aspects of problems that clients are facing and craft relevant solutions leveraging Data & Services expertise and existing capabilities
• Lead business development team in developing winning sales pitches tailored to the client needs
• Deliver succinct and persuasive sales pitches to senior client executives
• Build peer relationships with senior/executive level client management
• Partner with project teams to ensure project quality and identification of follow-up sales opportunities
• Play key role in creation of new Intellectual Capital and become "thought partner" for Clients
• Actively participate in recruiting, training, and developing others
• Align efforts with Mastercard core team for sales success, including managing external obstacles and maintaining leadership alignment and support

All About You:
Education Needed:
Undergraduate degree required.
MBA or relevant post graduate degree recommended.
• Consulting experience from a top-rated consulting firm
• Breadth and depth of knowledge and experience working in financial institutions and/or merchants (Retailers/Telco's)
• Payments/Cards expertise is an advantage
• Proven sales expertise is a strong plus
• Highest level of self-motivation
• Ability to work on a team or independently
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop, and close a sale
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English
• Ability to develop compelling sales narratives in influencing sales closure
• Ability to guide and support Business Development and project delivery teams in developing storyline construct that drives project analysis
• Excellent analytic capabilities and skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to think from the perspective of the customer
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Bachelor's and post-graduate degrees (MBA or other) from leading universities
