As we continue to build and expand our relationships into new segments and buying centres, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for identifying leads (in collaboration with our sales team), running engagement campaigns with Marketing, and supporting the conversion of outbound leads into opportunities.
As a BDR, responsibilities will focus on outreach activities to engage and target the ideal client profile, facilitating the process of ensuring leads are connected to the correct BD team lead and then quickly converted into opportunities.

This role not only enables the BDR to quickly upskill on our Identity product set, but it also allows the BDR to grow and pursue a role within Specialist Sales Services Business Development in the future.

Role
• Responsible for building the front-end of the sale funnel for outbound leads
• Serve as the first point of contact of Mastercard Identity to prospect stakeholders from mid-level to C-suite
• Engage functionally across two complementary groups of Direct Sales Teams; Services Business Leads (SBL) who sell with a customer relationship-first approach; Identity Sales Specialists who sell with a segment penetration approach; and Product Sales Specialists who sell with a product specific approach
• Leverage knowledge of Mastercard Identity capabilities and how they fit together to understand relevance of our solutions to potential clients
• Track the leads and conversion process from beginning to end to quantify impact of efforts
• Drive collaboration with stakeholders across Mastercard to obtain qualitative feedback on outbound lead generation processes, implementing process/strategic improvements and deploying best practices
• Research contacts and generate interest through discovery calls and email campaigns
• Utilize active listening skills to understand and uncover client needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Identity products can meet those needs
• Consistently achieve quota by hitting your Stage-2 opportunity target
• Use and maintain Salesforce to keep sales activity data accurate

All About You
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business development experience, preferably in SaaS (ideally risk, fraud, security, or identity services) into large enterprise organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong commercial drive with ability to build relationships based on empathy, thought leadership and subject matter expertise
• Solid knowledge and understanding of financial services and/or eCommerce market and landscape
• High responsiveness to customer outreach
• Ability to learn and pivot quickly
• Ability to quickly upskill on our Identity products
• Strong drive to build processes and establish ways of working across teams
• Collaborative attitude with an understanding of how to win as a team
• Preferred outbound lead generation / social selling background
• Preferred proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Outreach, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Agile, creative, and flexible thinker that enjoys responding rapidly to shifts in macro and microeconomic trends that effect prospect companies
• Interest in pursuing a career within business development in the future
