Senior Automation Engineer (R&D)

Job Description Summary
Mastercard Foundry requires a talented and experienced Software Test professional to help bring Quality Engineering to the next level. They will work independently within our development teams to help achieve quality excellence, fast time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.

This Quality Engineering position at MasterCard Labs requires good knowledge of software development and software architecture principles to work closely with software developers. You will assist developers in conducting Exploratory Testing, Test Automation and preparation of test infrastructure.

Do you have proven expertise with both Functional and non-Functional Test Types?

Do you demonstrate a hands on approach to technology, such as coding/scripting ways to discover software issues?

Do you have a motivation to drive Automation and self-service culture as a part of software delivery practices?

Role

Works closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing

Documents performance test strategies and test plans; translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.

Participates in requirements review and performance testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation.

Identifies and implements complex automation efforts; replicates and resolves production issues for single application

Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods

Acts as first-review for project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections

About You

A true engineer who identifies as a Tester.

Someone who understands good Quality processes and pitfalls.

ISTQB Certification or similar training in QA theory.

Expressive and sociable. A good communicator. Ready to communicate across all levels of a project team to drive best practices.

Experience with testing multiple technology layers beneath the User Interface such as Rest API and SDK.

A technical mind-set, capable of building working software, prototypes or mock interfaces

Ability to devise highly effective test scenarios and edge cases.

Adept at defect discovery using Exploratory Testing techniques.

Experience in Performance Testing using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.

Experience of Agile/DevOps teams, with an understanding of the concepts and ceremonies they followed.

Extensive experience with Agile management tools such as JIRA.

Experience using Agile oriented Test Automation frameworks (Test Driven Development/Behaviour Driven Development).

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Adept in CI/CD practices and implementation (Jenkins).

Experience in Cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
