Overview

The Governance Risk and Control team (1st Line Risk Management) in MPS RTP is looking for a Senior, Risk Governance and Framework who will have responsibility for designing, supporting embedding and maintaining the 1st Line Risk governance based on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology, risk reporting, policies and process documentation, facilitating, providing advice, guidance and building and developing strong partnerships within Risk structure and wider internal/external stakeholders.

Role
• Support the development and maintenance of the 1st Line Risk Governance, Infrastructure and Tools that are required to support the Risk Management Framework.
• Maintain and update the 1st Line Risk Management methodology and process documentation in line with regulatory requirements, Mastercard Risk, Regulated Business Entities and current industry good practice including risk appetite, Key Risk Indicators, risk assessment and risk incident and event management etc.
• Support the rollout of the components of the Risk Management Framework including risk appetite, risk management policies and processes (including risk events), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and risk management culture.
• Support the development and rollout of risk tooling, working and aligning with other business entities.
• Support the Director of Governance Risk and Control and Group Functions Risk Management with the development of a process by which to identify and record emerging risks and guide to scenario analysis in line with Mastercard Risk.
• Ensure current and future risk framework requirements are effectively reflected in 1st Line governing documents and apply suitable influence to ensure that they are adopted by the business.

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of risk management principles and the interrelationships of 3LoD
• Knowledge of the requirements of good risk governance
• Recent experience of using Risk Management Tools
• Understanding and experience from financial services risk and compliance framework, standards.
• Consistently display positive, professional and approachable Excellent communication skills - uses all relevant channels and resources to communicate effectively and proactively
• Team working - ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people. Work co-operatively with others as part of a team
• Demonstrate strong disciplines with regard to accuracy and quality of output
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
