Product Manager, Test & Learn - Senior Specialist

The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing cutting-edge products and services that help our customers. Focused on thinking big and scaling quickly around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base including issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation (Test & Learn), and data-driven information and risk management services.

Test & Learn

As a member of the Test & Learn (T&L) Product Management team, you will build industry-leading experimentation software which brings sophisticated analytic techniques to businesses and users around the world. We are rapidly building new products, improving existing products, and expanding the ways we deliver Test & Learn to our clients. We are looking for innovators who can manage our current products while also thinking of what's next in coming up with ideas for new products.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing/refreshing a subset of globally-available T&L Bulletin products that provide measurement and optimization analysis to issuing and acquiring banks.

• Build revolutionary products that advance how businesses all over the world derive the most value from their data assets
• Translate a deep understanding of our customers into products and solutions that drive significant customer value
• Balance the long-term direction of a product with today's needs and constraints by fully understanding the technical, competitive, and commercial contexts of our products
• Act as connectors to ensure the commercial success of our products by working with Sales and Marketing while ensuring technical success through close partnership with Technology teams
• Drive globally-relevant solutions by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs, and build scalable products that serve an array of customer segments
• Set product direction with coordination, not isolation-taking into account how our products all work together to serve customer needs

Position Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely release of high-quality products globally
• • Assist with strategic business plans and product roadmaps
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams for product sales, pricing, marketing, usage and continuous product enhancement
• Effectively communicate strategy and vision up and down the organization
• Help prioritize development efforts as they align against business strategy
• Help the team build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals
• Work with development teams, including engineers
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer demands, and opportunities to be solved by analytic solutions.
• Develop an inspiring product strategy by deeply understanding customer needs, market opportunities, and technical feasibility.
• Translate this deep understanding of our users into specific products and features, leveraging user research, market research, sales and marketing knowledge, and usage data to inform decisions.
• Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional product teams to bring ideas to life, from problem identification to solution design, requirements development, testing, deployment, and performance measurement.
• Collaborate with leaders across the business unit to identify problems and drive innovative solutions.
• Act as a product evangelist, partnering with the sales team to deeply understand customer needs and effectively communicate the value proposition of the analytics
• Plan and execute product launch, rollout, and scaling through developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies as the end-to-end product owner.
• • Play a key role in rolling out new solutions targeted at issuing banks and acquiring banks using Mastercard data
• Drive the development of new functionality within products used by the world's leading financial institutions to make critical, multi-million-dollar decisions.

All About You

• 5+ years working in product management, consulting, strategy, or related field
• Strong analytical mindset and pragmatic problem solver with a bias to action; able to tackle problems independently
• Proven track record collaborating in cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, client delivery, regional product managers, etc) to deliver outstanding products/services
• Experience in developing and driving end to end execution of initiatives - particularly in a cross-functional environment, managing and prioritizing initiatives. Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities.
• A quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
• Strategic mindset to solve complex and ambiguous problems
• Strong communication & influencing skills to work with peers and senior stakeholders, with ability to clearly articulate problem statements and opportunity areas. Strong professional presence, with an enthusiastic and 'make it happen' mentality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to haves
• Knowledge and skills using product management tools (e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, market research, pricing, business case development)
• Product management experience in analytical/insights/measurement/experimentation/data products is a plus
• Experience with analytical solutions designed for payments or a related financial services sectors preferred
• Understanding of Mastercard products & services and key revenue drivers
• Technical knowledge to enable you to release a software product
