The world of payments is ever evolving, creating a fast-paced environment and there's always something new to get involved in.
Centred on data-driven technologies and innovation, our Services business here in Auckland deepens our partnerships across our network covering New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. We're looking for a Business Development lead, ready to bring a highly motivated approach to support the dynamic team on the ground. With experience in payments, retail and/or fintech, we're ultimately looking for someone with the ambition and drive to lead and grow the business - forging paths into new verticals to diversify our client groups; and with a determination to succeed in the role.

We are looking for skills and experience that will contribute towards the strategy of our Services business as we grow and expand across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Our client set includes financial institutions, fintechs, payments companies and governments, so you'll have the chance to engage with stakeholders across all levels - we always strive to bring a best-in-class partnership approach with our clients.
Other personal attributes we're looking for:
• Demonstrated excellence and career development in a B2B sales role, within retail and/or fintech.
• Proven self-starter, someone who can bring hustle and drive to achieve and exceed our objectives; confident in connecting across the organisation and comfortable to run autonomously.
• Ability to deliver compelling narratives that articulate the value Mastercard Services brings to our partner network.
• Perform comprehensive analysis to establish deep understanding of Client needs and potential solutions to identify the most critical aspects of a problem
• Manage the sales cycle and related processes from client needs identification through contractual development and execution incl. writing well-structured and persuasive proposals
• A strong team leader, someone who likes to collaborate to achieve shared goals and can work across different organisations and internal business groups.
• A thought leader that can contribute to building our brand as a leading payments and services organisation.
• Someone to bring a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative and commitment to the team.
