In this role, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding Mastercard's network environments by ensuring adherence to the highest security standards while driving compliance with global regulations. This is more than just a technical role - it's a leadership opportunity to influence, innovate, and create processes that fortify our network operations.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Compliance Strategies:
- Design and roll out sustainable strategies that align Mastercard's network infrastructure with internal and external security control frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI, COBIT).
- Continuously review and update these strategies to ensure they meet evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interactions with technology risk leads, internal auditors, and external regulators.
- Prepare and deliver documentation, evidence, and presentations demonstrating compliance with security controls.
- Build strong relationships with regulators to effectively address inquiries and ensure alignment with their expectations.
Manage Audits and Compliance Processes:
- Oversee all network audit activities, ensuring successful completion within regulatory deadlines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to address audit requests, gather required documentation, and provide comprehensive responses.
- Lead post-audit reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future compliance readiness.
Close Security Gaps and Drive Remediation Efforts:
- Analyze identified vulnerabilities and gaps in network security controls.
- Develop and oversee the execution of remediation plans to address these gaps.
- Monitor progress on corrective actions and validate their effectiveness.
Streamline and Document Processes:
- Create, refine, and maintain detailed processes and procedures for the Network Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement improvements to enhance their effectiveness and scalability.
Develop Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the compliance status of Mastercard's network environments.
- Create comprehensive reports to provide senior management with actionable insights and ensure transparency in compliance efforts.
What You Bring:
Network Expertise: Hands-on experience in network administration, engineering, or architecture within enterprise environments, with exposure to platforms like Arista, Cisco, Aruba, Check Point, or Palo Alto.
Security Savvy: A strong understanding of industry-standard IT security frameworks (NIST, PCI, COBIT, COSO, ISO, SOC) and how they integrate into network operations.
Proven Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Credentials & Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, complemented by professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CIA.
