Overview
Mastercard is a leading provider of innovative API-based financial products, empowering businesses with seamless access to financial data and services. The Open Banking Customer Delivery Team is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Pre-Sales Solution Engineer with a strong technical background to join our team. As a part of this team, you will play a critical role in providing technical guidance to our largest and most strategic clients.
As Pre-Sales Solution Engineer you'll be a trusted advisor responsible for driving all aspects of the technical sales process, that means leading product demos and presentations, providing input on implementation, and technical scoping the solution to be delivered. Combined with your superb communication abilities, your specialized technical skills will be key in signing new deals, so you'll have a direct impact on our bottom line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Open Banking products and services, translating customer requirements into Open Banking driven solutions to be delivered by the organization.
• Establish strong relationships with clients, acting as a technical advisor and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with our solutions.
• Act as a coach for our new clients, delivering technical workshops, explaining how to integrate to our Open Banking solutions. Your coaching efforts will support our clients in implementing our products in the correct way, ultimately supporting our clients in their strategic goals.
• Leverage APIs to demonstrate platform capabilities using POSTMAN.
• Communicating highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, from software engineers to executive-level decision-makers.
• Writing answers to and being generally accountable for RFPs questionnaires
• Supporting the Sales and Customer Delivery team with your product and technical knowledge.
• Working cross-functionally between teams, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering.
• Gather feedback and insights from clients to continuously improve our products and services, communicating their needs to internal teams.
• Keep an excellent, highly professional, and always positive attitude towards our customers.

All about you

• Previous experience in a Pre-Sales, solution engineering or technical account management role with with a focus in API solution environment, payments, and/or eCommerce solutions.
• Proven customer focus and business acumen, solutions oriented, thought leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Flair to tech, and a burning interest for the world of financial technologies and the exciting possibilities Open Banking brings.
• You thrive in a cross-functional work environment and with many different customers and internal stakeholders. builds internal relations and is a team player.
• You are driven by understanding web tech stack, HTTP, JSON, HTML, etc.
• Ability to come with creative ideas to improve current processes and products.
• Ability to self-start and work without supervision, with proper issue escalation.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• World-class written and verbal communication.
• An ability to simplify complex topics, and always relate technical explanations back to the business value of the product.
• Must be comfortable working day-to-day with cloud-based workflow tools such as MS Teams and OneDrive.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience.
