Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payments Lead with Issuing experience to join the Everyday Banking (Debit) team within one of our key banking partners. In this fixed term 12 month contract, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our debit products and make a significant impact on our customers' banking experience.

Role
As a Payments Lead, you will oversee priority engagements within the debit segment, driving product development, managing operations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Product Development: Lead the development and enhancement of debit card products, ensuring they align with customer needs and market trends.
• Project Management: Oversee priority projects within the debit segment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and compliance, to ensure cohesive product strategies and implementations.
• Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all debit products and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to support product development and operational efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse product performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary to meet business goals.

All About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management or a related role within the payments industry (Issuing), with a focus on debit card products. Experience working with DXC Technologies, Connex, Payment scheme Technologies.
• Skills:
oSolid experience as a payments professional in technical product management.
oDemonstrated in-depth understanding of Card payments / Merchant Acquiring / Payments Technology / clearing and settlements.
oBe willing to get your hands dirty - from writing Jira stories, leading investigations, drawing swim lane diagrams to running sprint meetings.
oStrong understanding of the payments and Issuing landscape, particularly debit card products.
oProven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
oExcellent technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
oEffective communication and interpersonal skills.
oProficiency in relevant software and tools.
