Manager, Sales Strategy and Competitive Intelligence
Overview
The Sales Strategy and Competitive Intelligence department is a central point of where market and internal Mastercard knowledge converge. It helps generate insights for the Leadership team for strategic decisions, analysis for the Sales teams to generate new business and content to a diverse array of demands for local and global teams on our market's reality and Mastercard position in it.
Role
The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding and helping forecast the payment's market movements, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset to develop insights beyond the obvious.
The main responsibilities are:
• Develop analysis and projections such as market share, market trends and sizing, PCE penetration, competitive scans among others
• Support the Sales team on the development and presentation of Quarterly Business Review to our main client's top executives
• Build and present executive presentations to senior leadership
• Guide and work with external consultants to generate reports, vetted databases to share externally
• Support Finance and FP&A departments on budgets and planning exercises
• Constantly develop new knowledge, ad-hoc analysis or creating innovative perspectives on industry main trends and challenges
• Support the Strategy and M&A team in relevant analysis and business case developments
• Guide, train and manage team to deliver desired results with minimal need of additional adjustments and re-work
All About You
• Undergraduate degree with work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence or business line management. MBA or master's degree with relevant specialization is a bonus
• Relevant industry expertise
• Experience on coaching and managing teams across multiple activities that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
• Experience managing key internal client relationships
• Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
• Logical, structured thinking, and affinity for numerical analysis
• Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft suite and analytics tools (PowerBi, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx)
• Strong presentation and story-telling skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
• Be comfortable to work with uncertain and incomplete information and deliver sound outputs
