• A Communications Generalists Manager, COVEC is responsible for executing divisional specific communication plans;
• The professional will lead the internal and external Communications for Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela primarily and also have a focus on developing communications activities in Suriname and Guyana.

Role

• Leads execution of strategies related to external and internal communications (including crisis management), as well as volunteerism, for the Covec Cluster based out of Bogota.
• Leads the creation of communication materials for internal and external audiences (e.g., customers, regulators, merchants, media, employees and sales force) and implements communication activities, events, influencers program within Covec cluster
• Works collaboratively with other areas of the business to support awareness of Mastercard initiatives throughout the COVEC Cluster
- Align Communications Strategy with Covec Cluster and Comms of South LAC Division and Region to increase synergies and effectiveness
• Networks with stakeholders (e.g., communication departments of banks, consumer unions, merchants, media partners, community leaders and governments) in order to align for announcements involving Mastercard and these partners
• Serves as a trusted counselor on issues related to communications, executive briefings materials and developing messages/communications training
• Leads projects with agencies and consultants to develop communications plans, materials and events, on a day-to-day basis

All About You

• Demonstrated experience and success in delivering and assisting in the development of local Communications programs
• Experience supporting senior leaders representing Mastercard at high profile business conferences and speaking engagements
• Managed elements of a cross-functional project within own locale
• Demonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams
• Extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders at the local level through participation in client meetings and consumer events
• Coordinated cross-functional initiatives, such as professional development opportunities, idea-creation programs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities
• experience in Communications roles
