This role will be a merchant marketing lead within the travel vertical working with a key merchant partner to help grow their business and the brand, while delivering value to the partner and our cardholders.

Role:

The person in this role will work closely with the internal account manager and directly with the merchant partner to:

Lead strategic marketing planning for internal account team and to nurture collaborative business relationships with our external customer who is in the Travel vertical.

In partnership with the Account Management team, identify strategic marketing opportunities and lead the concept development, creation of marketing sales materials and the delivery of Priceless Experiences and usage campaigns in support of key Mastercard products, solutions and marketing platforms aligned to US business priorities

Expand visibility and use of existing Mastercard Priceless Marketing assets and capabilities, including the Priceless Platform

Determine what needs are currently unmet and work with a cross-functional team to enhance our tools, campaigns, and capabilities.

Serve as the Mastercard brand and marketing capability advocate for this partner: Play a critical role in demonstrating the value of our Priceless Brand campaign and other platforms to our partners, and leading on partnership innovation, branding at acceptance occasions including sonic and haptic integrations, and more.

Contribute to key team KPIs including revenue targets and customer channel marketing thresholds

Approach:

Serve as the key point of contact for and develop strong working relationships with account manager and cross-functional team.

Proactively identify, develop and implement effective partner marketing programs in partnership with the Mastercard Services team, designed to meet customer objectives and Mastercard business priorities

Create and execute customized marketing programs by leveraging existing sponsorship assets and developing new solutions to support Mastercard business and marketing initiatives for customer.

Work with internal customers, agency partners, and other parts of the marketing organization to execute initiatives.

Work closely with fellow IMC disciplines including Issuer Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Sponsorships, Media, and Communications, both locally and globally, as well as our agency partners to execute initiatives.

Knowledge of the travel vertical, experiential marketing and the payments business is a big plus

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
