Manager, Area Marketing

Overview
The Marketing Manager will develop and ensure consistent definition and implementation of a holistic Marketing Plan to be the partner of choice and win the customer preference by developing a relevant product positioning for an issuer/merchant, increasing card issuance and usage to reach the issuer business objectives.

She/he will work also with sales team members and other internal cross-functional groups to design and implement specific marketing initiatives to create value for counterparts and Mastercard.

In alignment with the Mastercard business strategy the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the implementation of marketing strategies and specific programs

Responsibilities
• Identify insights to share with customers and appropriately translate these insights into sustainable brand growth strategies.
• Development of content marketing and sales enablement materials, such as toolkits, infographics, interactive data visualizations, social media content and foundational sales materials to support sales teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Integrated Marketing and Communications across LAC, ensuring strong alignment and coordination on key projects and initiatives.
• Promote Mastercard sponsorship program and identify relevant opportunities with customers to leverage the priceless experience program and marketing assets.
• Lead the CRM strategy and coordinate the execution to strength Mastercard thought leadership among customers and engage them to amplify Mastercard's consumer promotions and product benefits.
• Analyze our customers' objectives and leverage our assets to create consumer segment-driven opportunities that will drive Mastercard revenue and develop the best solutions to create long-term customer plans and value.
• Leverage marketing expertise to provide the best customized solutions of customer strategies, marketing programs ideation and programs execution to create long term value.
• Guarantee a savvy and efficient usage of the budget investments implementing post analysis activities to ensure proper ROI on funding. Manage reporting and accounting activities as per timelines.

All About You
• Prove n customer facing marketing experience with a mix in B2B and B2C, Brand Marketing, Brand management and Direct Marketing expertise for customer acquisition, activation, usage, retention.
• Strong account management experience - ability to understand customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape.
• Leadership skills with the ability to recognize opportunities, forms a vision of what can be achieved that challenges self and others, garner support and advocacy, strategic planning and very strong project management skills. Team player and achievement oriented
• Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated both creative judgment and the ability to motivate / manage agencies.
• Ability to turn qualitative and quantitative data and information analysis into actionable 'insights'
• Able to work and move in a multinational, multicultural environment and sensitive to different cultural difference.
• A quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a positive "get stuff done" mindset.
• Confident bringing creative, informed, and innovative ideas to help advance our discipline.

What we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• +7 years of proven track record of successfully implementing marketing strategies with at least 2 years of B2B Marketing experience managing top clients
• Experience leading people either directly or influencing cross-functional teams
• English / Spanish Proficiency
• Strong background in leveraging multiple sources of data to identify insights, draft briefs, assess creative content across channels, and deliver sales and marketing materials.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
• Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel; Presentation deck writing
• Master's degree preferred.
