LAC Large Market Strategy Lead

Overview:

The Commercial Solutions organization is looking for a strategic-minded, action-oriented individual to help grow the LAC region. This role reports into the Commercial Sales Strategy & Analysis team which drives sales strategy, business cases, and influences the product roadmap globally.

About Commercial Sales Strategy & Analysis: the department sits centrally within Commercial Solutions as a strategy and analytics hub that is primarily responsible for:

-Developing and executing global and regional level strategy built on top of a strong analytical foundation: customer research, market research, and deep analytics
-Developing and monitoring business cases in partnership with product, sales, operations, and other key stakeholders
-Intelligence creation - building and managing KPIs, dashboards, desktop research, product and sales benchmarking
-Enabling key ecosystem plays bringing together internal and external capabilities leveraging a build, buy, and partner approach
-Managing cross-functional alignment

About the role: we are excited about the opportunity for the right individual to come in and help drive strategy and analysis for LAC's Commercial Business Development organization. The vision for the role is to help build market intelligence for the LAC business development teams, enable meaningful conversations with prospects and clients through data and insights, and help grow the market through actionable strategies and go-to-market engagements.

Key Activities:

-Create LAC wide intelligence through research and analysis
-Assist sales in the creation of client pitch decks and client relationship reviews
-Create compelling narratives to support client conversations and events
-Keep pulse on the macro-environment alongside Sales and Strategy functions
-Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify emerging needs and business challenges
-Provide research services for internal and external use - how the payments ecosystem in LAC is morphing , where Mastercard sits within that ecosystem, and directing where we need to be investing to protect and grow our business
-Provide analytical support to senior management in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
-Assist in budgeting & forecasting for business growth
-Craft strategic growth plans and drive execution in key priority markets where Mastercard Commercial is well-positioned to grow

Relatable experience that would translate well:
-Extensive experience drawing key insights from data to build and manage business cases and inform strategy
-Experience structuring and managing financial deals (e.g. M&A, loans, payments)
-Cross-functional project management and ability to lead and influence partners
-Track record of thought leadership and sharing original content (ideally in the payments space)
-Ability to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders (both internal and external)
-Demonstrated success working with stakeholders across other business units, functions and markets in support of cross-functional projects/programs
-Sales experience - pitch decks, RFPs, client performance reviews, and lead generation

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
