What does the role involve?
The Acceptance team at Mastercard plays a crucial role in shaping the future of payment networks globally. As the payments landscape evolves, new technologies and business models are emerging, driving a need for innovative strategies to meet customer expectations. This is where you come in. As part of the global Acceptance team, you will support key strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening Mastercard's position in a rapidly changing acceptance environment.

In this position, you will work closely with the Product & Engineering global and regional teams as well as other functions (finance, legal, marketing, etc.) to support strategic initiatives, conduct research and analysis, and assist in the coordination of key programs. You'll gain valuable exposure to critical stakeholders and assist in the day-to-day management of ongoing projects and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help defining Mastercard's global Acceptance strategy, objectives and KPIs.
• Assist in the development of strategies related to acceptance growth, product optimization and go-to-market initiatives.
• Support the identification and evaluation of business opportunities that drive growth and align with Mastercard's Acceptance strategic priorities.
• Help in the development of executive level material and presentations.
• Support the development and execution of programs and product enhancements in response to customer needs, market trends, and competitive forces.
• Help manage timelines, track progress, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of strategic initiatives.

You are an analytical thinker with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and functions. You have experience in business strategy, research, or the payments industry, and are keen to expand your expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You are a confident communicator and can work well in teams to deliver impactful results. You thrive in a role where you can help drive innovation and contribute to the success of strategic projects.
Key Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience in payments, strategy consulting, business analysis, or a related field.
• Exposure to or a strong understanding of the payments industry is a plus
• Experience in market research and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Ability to build and present business cases, including gathering data and creating business models.
• Proficiency in analytics and presenting complex information in a simple, digestible format.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
