Director, Products and Solutions, C&I

Overview

The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Japan team at Mastercard delivers technology, products, and services that facilitate seamless, fast and secure payments across the network and the internet of things (IoT). These solutions leverage the latest technology, a vast array of data resources, and artificial intelligence to provide services that benefit the entire payments ecosystem.

The goal of C&I Japan is to protect and ensure the integrity of the payment system including physical and digital channels by delivering fraud management and mitigation products that address the entire account lifecycle and work equally to ensure a positive experience for consumers.

As part of this C&I Japan, Director, Products and Solutions will report to the VP, Products and solution and is responsible for driving decisioning product solution suite in the market and play a significant role in Fraud related thought leadership.

Role

Act as business owner and manager of the assigned Cyber & Intelligence Solutions products in the AI network solutions (Decisioning products) domain in Japan covering, all aspects including KPI's and go-to-market strategy.

Identify and lead multi-product commercialization initiatives across all Mastercard Customer bases, including establishing go-to-market approach and key performance indicators for products, setting objectives in partnership with regions, and driving commercial plans to ensure success.

Engage with the various divisional expert teams and sales teams to build out a detailed go-to market plan for the European region.

Manage the product lifecycle including business case creation, viability study technology assessment, go-to-market plan and product development.

Deliver presentations, webinars and tutorials to demonstrate value to all stakeholders and further the ambition and success of Cyber & Intelligence products and services.

Drive product and consumer strategies for new and existing suite of products to be leveraged with cross-functional teams including Financial Institutions, Governments, Large Scale Merchants and Small/Medium Businesses

Translate stakeholder insights into differentiated value propositions for strategic segments and constantly evaluate the value creation process to drive world-class products

Test, challenge and improve product business cases for overall viability and financial validity, leveraging business and financial acumen

Be a subject matter expert, advocate and champion for designated products to all stakeholders

Act as a product evangelist, partnering with the relevant stakeholders to deeply understand customer needs and develop an inspiring product strategy.

Use these interactions to capture and drive the development of new functionality within Artificial Intelligence, Fraud Reporting and Visualization AI, Data Visualisation, Recommendation and real-time authorization decisioning related products used by the world's largest organizations to make critical, multi-million-dollar decisions.

Support the resolution of customer specific issues/concerns

Engage with key stakeholders; issuers, merchants, consumer focus groups and governments to ensure a detailed viability study of proposed solutions

Research of trends and threats to Mastercard customers across the entire digital ecosystem and broader financial sectors

All About You

Knowledge of Payments Industry - highly desirable

Japanese/ English Bilingual
Experience of launching and commercializing Data Products/Services

Financial acumen: pricing of new data products, creating new revenue opportunities.

Technical familiarity with existing and emerging AI, Fraud Prevention, related risks and business opportunities

Knowledge of fraud & risk management landscape having worked within the industry with demonstrable knowledge of the tools, solutions, major threats and trends in the industry

Able to build and maintain a network of relevant professionals across different sectors to help build Mastercard's reputation as a credible component of the AI and Fraud & Risk community

Experience in presenting to senior level audiences while simplifying complex topics and themes

Ability to influence with effective communications and negotiation skills

Experience in working with cross functional teams in executing projects

Strong organizational skills you can learn quickly and multi-task across multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment

Experience interacting with customers and asking effective, forward thinking questions

Knowledgeable in key metric identification for driving and maintaining healthy business performance
