Job Description: Director of Learning Experience - Design Studio
Overview: The Learning Experience Design Studio seeks a forward-thinking and innovative Director of Learning Experience. This role will lead a team of Learning Experience Designers (LXDs) and manage contractors to support specific program demands. The Director will challenge traditional learning methodologies, push the boundaries of learning design, and integrate User Experience (UX) and Product Management principles to create effective, engaging learning experiences.
About the role:
Leadership and Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of LXDs and contractors.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to the team.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Design Studio aligned with departmental goals.
• Oversee the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions across technical, leadership, and onboarding programs.
• Ensure alignment with best practices in LXD, UX, and Product Management.
Quality and Effectiveness:
• Establish and maintain high standards for visual and instructional design.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and seek ways to enhance impact and engagement.
• Utilize data-driven insights to measure learning outcomes and drive improvements.
Innovation and Creativity:
• Challenge traditional learning methodologies and explore new approaches.
• Encourage the use of cutting-edge technologies and creative strategies.
• Lead the exploration and implementation of new learning formats and methodologies beyond e-learning and ILT.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand learning needs and objectives.
• Serve as a key point of contact for program managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure clear and effective communication of project goals, progress, and outcomes.
Project and Resource Management:
• Oversee resource allocation, including managing contractors to support program needs.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Maintain an agile approach to project management to accommodate changing priorities.

All About You: The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Be a forward-thinking leader who questions the effectiveness of traditional learning methodologies.
• Have exceptional visual design skills and a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative learning solutions.
• Possess deep understanding of Learning Experience Design (LXD), User Experience (UX), and instructional design best practices.
• Exhibit strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Be proficient in design and project management tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Trello, Asana, Monday.com).
