Job Description Summary: The Director role serves as a key regulatory TECH Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the region, promoting and maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the regional incident response process and resilience enhancements. This position reports to the Vice President, Governance & Compliance, Mastercard Europe Technology.

Key Accountabilities:
• Act as the primary regulatory TECH SME for compliance with all current TECH oversight requirements in the region.
• Serve as a point of contact for all TECH-related regulatory requests, including regular central bank engagements, addressing regulatory findings, and supporting self-assessments.
• Maintain oversight of the external regulatory landscape and assess potential impacts to TECH.
• Provide governance support for MCE Technology and ensuring policies and procedures are reviewed in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support the MCE Governance Requirements Owner for MCE - MCT (Mastercard Technologies) and assist in bi-annual service reviews with MCT.
• Monitor and coordinate the reporting of all operational incidents reaching regulatory thresholds in the region, in partnership with Regulatory Affairs.
• Collaborate with peers in other regions to share best practices and enhance the global incident management process.
• Support both the 1LOD (Technology Risk Management) and 2LOD (Risk Management) with the identification and monitoring of MCE operational risks.
• Maintain oversight of program resiliency enhancements impacting the region.
• Coordinate all MCE TECH deliverables to key stakeholders, including the QEBR with the Regional President.
• Work closely with MCE TECH Division Leads to support customer escalations and operational resilience requirements.
• Provide leadership, direction, and development to junior team members.
• Promote a strong compliance and governance culture.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Knowledge of the European regulatory landscape impacting payments (essential).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of 5-8 years of training and experience (desirable).
• Good understanding of the MC network and core transactional programs.

Skills and Competencies:
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Collaborative approach, building trust and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the external environment.
• Experienced people leader.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
