Overview
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is seeking a professional Infrastructure DBA skilled in optimizing system latency, ensuring data integrity, and delivering high-quality results while staying current with emerging technologies. The goal is to provide secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure and software deployment capabilities.
The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment, driving innovation and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Role
Proactively monitoring database performance, resolving issues and overseeing on-call duties.
Identifies and selects suitable technologies, and develops, constructs, maintains, and tests database systems and related software products.
Collaborating with engineers professionals to enhance query performance, address bottlenecks, and improve or design new schemas, reviewing and approving database modifications.
Assists in creating SQL tuning procedures to enhance performance and query development.
Conducting research and providing recommendations on data products, services, protocols, and standards, while also strategizing for the future growth of platform data assets.
Supports the database security posture by identifying and escalating potential issues, and by implementing risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
Oversee projects or initiatives as a seasoned individual contributor with expertise in the assigned discipline.
Developing and maintaining documentation, creating troubleshooting playbooks, testing failover and recovery plans.
Enhancing database expertise across the company.
All about you
Over 5 years of experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases in large-scale production environments, along with expertise in optimizing infrastructure solutions using AWS technologies.
Extensive hands-on experience in configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing database software and related products.
Demonstrated success with extensive hands-on experience collaborating with development and infrastructure engineering teams to ensure the database tier achieves reliability, operability, scalability, performance, and security.
Advanced expertise in security, backup and recovery, architecture, networking, and administration within the assigned database discipline.
Experience working on cloud-hosted services like AWS, Azure
Experience with IAC Automation tools for building automation for DB builds, Patching and maintenance.
Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies, including but not limited to MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, and ElasticSearch.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills to advocate for Database Engineering.
Experience in development working with new trends.
Experience with coding languages such as: Python, Golang, NodeJS, C++ is a plus.
