Overview:
Technical Implementation is part of the Services within Mastercard group and one of its fastest-growing organizations. The Services group is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
100 of the largest corporations in the world use these products and services like Test & Learn™ for Sites, Test & Learn™ for Customers, Mastercard Intelligence Center, and other similar products which employ patented algorithms and workflows to design business experiences and interpret real-world data that evaluate, target, and refine business programs.
Technical Implementation is a core component to these services, managing the data acquisition, integration, and transformation of client provided data within Test & Learn and other platforms for global engagements.
In this role You will:
The Data Engineer will participate on data management aspects of client engagements to deliver Test & Learn and other solutions under the Services group, as well as contribute to and foster a high-performance collaborative workplace. A Data Engineer I will:
Execute projects through implementation, automation, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise ETL processes for a global client base
Develop repeatable and scalable code that processes client data in an automated and efficient manner to ensure data availability in the platform is as real-time as possible.
Deliver on-time, accurate, high-value, robust data solutions across multiple clients, solutions, and industry sectors
Build trust-based working relationships with peers and clients across local and global teams
Implement best practices and collaborate in the design of effective streamlined processes for a complex global solutions group
Leverage industry best practices including proper use of source control, code reviews, data validation and testing
Leverage new SQL Server features such as Columnstore Indexes, In-Memory OLTP, Incremental statistics, Trace Flags, SQL CLR functions, window aggregate functions, and parallel computing algorithms to reduce the processing time of multi-billion row data sets
Comply with and uphold all Mastercard internal policies and external regulations
What you'll need :
To be a final-year college/university student with a graduation date no earlier than December 2024.
BS/BE/BTech in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, Accounting, General Business). Work experience in relevant fields is also sufficient
Excellent English quantitative, technical, and communication (oral/written) skills; an excellent listener
Hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies, and with Microsoft SQL Server
Proven self-motivated leader with experience working in teams
Demonstrated excellent skills in the ability to innovate, think critically and disaggregate problems. Able to provide oversight, validation and quality control to own work product
Skilled at balancing multiple projects and differing project priorities
Flexible to work with global offices across several time zones
