Backend Infrastructure Engineer-1
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Infrastructure Engineer - a role for someone looking to build a new development experience from the ground up. This role is part of a newly formed team, aimed at boosting productivity in the R&D department. You will be working very closely with development teams and DevOps/DevSecOps to provide innovative solutions to infrastructure requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance required by Mastercard.

We're looking for someone who is able to think outside the box and come up with solutions to long-standing problems which have been impacting development productivity. Someone who has the customer in mind, be it a peer or a Mastercard customer. The candidate must be enthusiastic about helping developers overcome their pain points.
The main goal of this role is to solve problems and issues at the source, preferably before they even become problems, ensuring they don't roll over to teams and require the solutions to be re-applied everywhere.
Role
• Building and maintaining a set of libraries and tools to support infrastructure operations such as DB connections, AWS tools integration, metrics, logging etc.
• Interacting with our AWS cloud infrastructure - EKS/Kubernetes clusters, EC2 instances, CloudFront, Serverless apps & more
• Working with DevSecOps, DevOps and Mastercard Compliance Office to ensure alignment with the organizational requirements and standards
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, using code, configuration, build, deploy, and monitoring tools
• Documentation - everything we do must be accompanied by clear reference guides to ensure that the products are put to good use and that maintenance is easy and effective for anyone wishing to contribute
• Work closely with developers in design and supporting new features, services and troubleshoot problems
• Apply, integrate and improve open source tools to extend operations capabilities and efficiency
All About You
• 4+ years in a software engineering position with strong infrastructure background
• Experience with Container technology, familiar with tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Docker Compose - MUST
• Experience with SQL/No-SQL and related DB technology - MUST
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g GitHub Actions, Jenkins) - MUST
* Solid experience and knowledge of at least one common programming language
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with scripting & coding (Bash, Python, Go, Groovy, etc)
• Strong communications skills, working side by side with the development, noc, support and QA teams
• Not afraid to experiment with new tools and technologies
• Team player, takes ownership and knows how to prioritize and remain efficient while multi-tasking
