Overview
Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as the only truly multi-rail payments technology company and Europe is at the forefront in defining and executing our multi-rail strategy. Commercial payments are a large opportunity for Mastercard in the French market. This role will develop and grow our commercial B2B acceptance for our commercial customers and partner network.
Key accountabilities of the role
• Grow spend volumes & increased revenues by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new suppliers, active in France.
• Execute on defined sales strategy through a segmented approach towards mid and large suppliers and partners.
• Responsible for rigorous sales pipeline management across the different segments,
coordinating with local product development and account management teams.
• Prospect, contact, and support contracting with new suppliers through multiple engagement channels including direct contacts, international meeting, events & conferences.
• Play a consultative role in conversations with key decision makers at new customers.
• Enhance ongoing business development relationships with the industry by
attending & participating in webinars, and customer trainings in the commercial payments space.
• This is targeted driven role with strong collaboration with senior sales consultants in the region.
All About You
• Hunter mentality with a proven track record of creating, driving and winning new business with mid and large market suppliers.
• Commercial payments or Fintech experience with knowledge of the banking & broader financial services sector preferable.
• Good understanding of B2B payment flows, business needs and the payment processes in Mid and large organisations
• Demonstrated success introducing & selling Software, technology, or payments solutions.
• A track record of executing clear sales action plans including forecasting & pipeline management.
• Proven ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with customers.
• Strong collaborator - able to build trusted partnerships both internally and externally.
• Track record in consistently achieving business growth targets as sole contributor.
• Comfortable with roles that require discretion, integrity, and agility
Experiences and other requirements
• Strong verbal and written communications skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to management level stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment.
• High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously; "can do" attitude;
strong customer and results orientation.
• Fluency in French and English with other languages highly preferable
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other post graduate degree an advantage
