Title and Summary

Analyst, Account Management

• The Analyst, Account Management role is responsible for a portfolio of customers located in Caribbean emerging markets
• The role is responsible to build and develop a long term business strategy with customers and to grow Mastercard's portfolio share with them, by promoting Mastercard's products and services at the broadest spectrum.
• The Analyst, Account Management is the single point of contact and the owner of customer's strategy, performance, and any initiative undertaken between him and MasterCard. As such, he/she is responsible to constantly update colleagues and management about the status of the account and to collaborate on the identification of new opportunities with the appropriate colleagues.

Role

• Build, manage, and constantly reassess mid/long term payment strategy for each customer.
• Grow the portfolio under management, by expanding existing products/services, winning flips from competition, identifying new opportunities.
• Manage customer P&L, focusing on numeric (e.g Net revenue, volume, fees, services) as well as qualitative KPI (e.g. Voice of the Customer). Build and constantly update dashboards, sales pipelines, and any market intelligence that may help internal supporting teams as well as Senior Management to take decisions.
• Proactively manage customer economics and negotiate contracts, making sure that internal supporting teams receive constant and timely feedback in order to be able to address any issue/opportunity may arise.
• Liaise with internal supporting teams (e.g. Services, Marketing, Products, Customer Delivery, etc) on constant basis to collaborate on the identification of new business opportunities and/or managing existing projects
• Constantly expand areas of personal knowledge and expertise, in order to make sure that customer always receives the broadest and most up-to-date view of Mastercard's position in the global payment space and its product and services

All About You

• The successful candidate must be commercially savvy, sales driven, and at ease during negotiations with customers
• The successful candidate is able to work under limited supervision and is used to dealing with personal financial targets and sales pressure in general
• The successful candidate must be comfortable developing relationships at executive level within local banks and engaging in strategic conversations with C-level business partners
• He/she has strong financial acumen and is able to build a complex customer sales pitch
• He/she can successfully sell customer's opportunities to internal Senior Management and win appropriate support from colleagues in a matrix organization
• Proven Sales/Customer facing experience in financial services and / or consumer goods industry
• Proficiency in English and Spanish a must
• Prior knowledge of the Caribbean business environment a strong plus
• Experience in card payments highly desirable
• Minimal travel expected (approx. 5-8%)
