The Opportunity
As a Claim Examiner, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, proactively identify, solicit, and analyze information essential to the claim evaluation process, including but not limited to medical records, financial documentation, and occupational information. You will develop and implement investigative action plans and make or recommend liability determinations in adherence with policy provisions.

The Impact
- Adjudicate disability income and life waiver of premium claims of low to moderate complexity in adherence with policy provisions
- Demonstrate critical thinking and proactively address outstanding claim requirements
- Recommend initial and ongoing liability determinations, authorize and issue benefit payments as appropriate
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, both oral and written
- Respond proactively and timely with claimants and other stakeholders
- Demonstrate the ability and desire to handle issues independently, seeking guidance in highly complex situations
The Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree or 2+ years of Individual Disability Income, Group Long Term Disability, or Long Term Care Claim Experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of Individual Disability Income, Long Term Care, or Group Long Term Disability Claim experience
- Investigative experience
- Proven, exceptional customer service skills through oral and written communications are required in accordance with internal and regulatory standards
- Must be flexible, able to work independently and self-driven
- Detail focused with excellent time management skills
