The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Operations, Corporate Finance, the CFO Strategic Operations Consultant will plan and drive critical initiatives that structure and execute Corporate Finance's vision and strategy. You will have a unique opportunity to quarterback Corporate Finance (CFO) cross functional planning, prioritization, and execution of efforts, generating effective cohesion across the CFO Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This role will heavily focus on CFO strategic alignment and execution, positioning CFO to achieve desired outcomes. You are a high-octane collaborator, clear communicator and passionate about connecting daily work to organizational strategy.

The Team

The CFO Strategic Operations team drives efficiency, effectiveness and influence to how the CFO organization gets work done, while keeping the customer at the center of what we do. We do this through effectively delivering continuous improvement, change management, collaboration and planning, and employee engagement services to the CFO organization and our business partners. With successful collaboration and alignment, the CFO Strategic Operations team focuses on the customer, acts with integrity, and achieves clearly defined outcomes. It is an exciting time for the CFO Strategic Operations team as we build out and expand our practices to service critical business needs and generate value to MassMutual's ways of working.

The Impact
  • Lead the planning and development of CFO objectives, outcomes and measurements and validate their connectivity
  • Bring strategic. analytic, and influence skills to drive desired outcomes that lead to achievement of the CFO vision
  • Govern intake and prioritization of initiatives to ensure CFO is working on the right things at the right time
  • Key partner with corporate project governance teams and technology partners to achieve seamless engagements
  • Lead the development and coordination of the CFO All Employee Meetings, connecting key topics and strategy to communications
  • Manage the CFO EAG and lead the group to achieve set strategic objectives
  • Manage the CFO KPI dashboard and associated processes and relationships to ensure the right measurements are in place and report metrics that matter to the SLT routinely
  • Provide expertise to teams disbursing CFO internal communications to enable proper messaging and timing


The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of related business experience
  • 8+ years of experience in an strategy role with a focus on strategic alignment and execution


The Ideal Qualifications
  • MBA
  • Proven track record leading strategic efforts in an agile environment
  • Sound understanding of KPIs and the ability to define metrics that matter
  • Ability to partner, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels within the organization
    • Be comfortable working through ambiguity and problem solving to meet desired outcomes
    • Collaborative and proactive to streamline work to achieve desired outcomes
  • Self-starter effectively navigating unpredictable change and competing priorities and points of view
  • Big picture thinker to analyze, review and recommend improvements with ability to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization
