The Opportunity

As the Candidate Experience Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team. You will support recruiters through scheduling, administration, systems, and relationship management. You will interact with candidates, senior leaders, recruiters, business and HR while gaining exposure to an organization that is growing.

The Team

The Corporate Functions Talent Acquisition team is comprised of highly skilled, collaborative problem solvers who are motivated to create the utmost candidate and hiring manager experience, using innovative recruiting tools to move MassMutual - and the industry - forward. The team culture is collaborative, cross-functional, and solution oriented. Our team supports hiring across Corporate Functions business units such as Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Enterprise Risk, HR/Communications, Law, and our Credit Union.

The Impact:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following pre-hire and onboarding activities:
  • Coordinate candidate interviews for hiring managers, recruiters and interview panel(s); including scheduling, booking conference rooms, and arranging video conferences, phone interviews, etc.
  • Manage the candidate reception/lounge area as needed, greet candidates and hiring mangers at their scheduled interview times
  • Coordinate travel arrangements with candidates as needed as well as processing expenses related to travel.
  • Communicate with candidates as required and requested by recruiters throughout the pre-employment process.
  • Review employment applications
  • Effectively interface with hiring managers and executive assistants.
  • Partner with the recruiter and other internal stakeholders to ensure a positive candidate interview experience.
  • Proactively recommend ways to improve customer/client/candidate experience and recruiting process.
  • Record any/all activities/tasks in the applicant tracking system as they occur.
  • Create, send and maintain offer letters, agreements and other documentation for compliance including FINRA regulations.
  • Complete personnel data transfers in applicant tracking system.
  • Complete steps for background checks through our vendor and performs subsequent follow up calls on any outstanding items
  • Launch onboarding tasks through ATS and follow up as needed
  • Lead guided campus tours to new hires providing information and answering questions
  • Communicate and facilitate all onboarding information and logistics to new hires and Hiring Managers in order to create a successful start for each new hire
  • Assists in the setup and maintenance of files, records, documents, and databases as required within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure duties and assignments are performed effectively and efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Assist with team audits and HR special projects as assigned.


The Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of Talent Acquisition coordination experience or 4+ years of administrative experience managing calendar.
  • 1+ years' experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.


The Ideal Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking Software (Workday highly preferred).
  • Experience with FINRA regulations as it pertains to the hiring process strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interface in a professional capacity with all levels of management and demonstrate experience providing pro-active solutions.
  • Problem solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid communication and organization skills.
  • A sense of urgency, attention to detail and timeliness.
