Portfolio Capability Lead

You will help translate Mars Global Services (MGS) strategy into actionable objectives, ensuring the portfolio aligns with strategic goals. You will lead the development of best practices, frameworks, and tools to enhance Portfolio, Program & Project (PPM) capabilities and processes, driving exceptional value and effective change delivery. This role involves leading a team to support the strategic development and continuous improvement of MGS' Portfolio, Program & Project management.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in building and managing a Centre of Excellence focused on Portfolio, Program & Project (PPM) best practices and third-party project management (3PM) tooling, ideally in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
  • Expertise in delivering both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, supporting professionals across both frameworks.
  • Ability to prioritize and align key capabilities with business needs and market trends, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing portfolio performance and reducing risk.
  • In-depth knowledge of governance, reporting, and portfolio management frameworks, including experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior and executive teams, communicate effectively, and lead teams to achieve high performance.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Define and drive the strategy to build and mature Portfolio, Program & Project (PPM) capabilities for Mars Global Services (MGS), expanding beyond MGS over time.
  • Support PPM professionals by defining career paths, skills strategies, and certification pathways.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance PPM skills and promote knowledge sharing across the business.
  • Provide assurance to senior leaders through regular assessments and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of PPM practices.
  • Lead a team to implement frameworks, methodologies, and tools that empower associates to deliver change effectively.
  • Establish a Community of Practice to foster collaboration, innovation, and a strong network of PPM professionals across the organization.

Salary: $152,141.67- $209,250.00

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable polices and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) basic life insurance plan for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holiday (equal to 96 paid holiday hours) throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
