A critical enabler to the future success of the Mars Pet Nutrition business is to transform the way we innovate. We have built a new organization to create breakthrough and disruptive innovations, which shift the portfolio into critical "must win" category spaces - servicing unmet pet and pet parent needs, delivering value through our interconnected ecosystem of pet and pet parent solutions, and identifying and launching products into emerging category trends and white spaces. This is a transformative change that requires the creation of new infrastructure, portfolio management tools, external partnerships, ways of working, dynamic resource allocation and capability building.

The Disruptive Innovation Senior Marketing Manager will spearhead initiatives aimed at identifying, developing, and implementing new strategies, products, technologies, and business models that could significantly impact the industry landscape. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can drive innovation for ideation to launch, foster a culture of creativity, and navigate the challenges associated with disruptive change.
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Innovation, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (6+ years) in marketing or brand innovation, innovation management, product marketing, or strategic leadership roles, preferably in a disruptive or high-growth environment.
- Experience with Lean Startup and/or Agile Innovation methodologies.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully launching innovative projects.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience in crafting compelling narratives and engaging diverse audiences.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, willing to take calculated risks.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify emerging trends and unmet consumer needs that can disrupt the current market landscape.
- Analyze competitors and industry shifts to pinpoint potential opportunities for innovation.
- Develop innovation ideas to disrupt the Pet Nutrition category and lead the execution of projects from ideation to implementation
- Utilize lean startup and agile methodologies to develop, pivot, and adapt projects based on feedback and market changes.
- Create and refine brand positioning and messaging for disruptive products to ensure clarity and impact in the market.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, including product development, R&D, and sales teams, to foster an organization-wide innovation mindset and ensure the successful execution of innovation initiatives
- Encourage creative thinking and experimentation among teams
