Sr. Finance Analyst, Cash & Overheads

Job Description:

The Sr. Finance Analyst role will support the Sr. Manager Strategic Finance & Cash & Working Capital Manager in critical cash & working capital analysis, help identify and drive opportunities for incremental value creation, including tracking, analyzing and modeling current and projected business performance, and support analytical work around target setting and other relevant ad hoc business and financial analysis. The role will also involve business partnering with regional Snacking Cash Leads and Analysts to bring insight and clarity to value creation opportunities within the various markets. In addition, the Analyst will provide HUB overheads finance support, detail tracking of results and insights, while managing periodic reporting. The Analyst will assist by leading analysis (financial modeling in Excel) and helping prepare/translate analysis to PPT for discussion with broader team, Mars Leadership, Board, segment leadership, CFOs, etc.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred, but not required.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience with emphasis on financial planning & analysis, business partnering, consulting, equity research, & corporate finance
  • Intermediate level accounting, exceptional financial modeling and data management skills, Excel and PPT required
  • The ability to think creatively, perform independently, and driven by curiosity is a must.
  • Use of Mars internal financial systems, Nielsen, CapitalIQ, Excel, PPT, Alteryx, PowerBI , Word, etc.,
  • Mars operational experience a +++

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Segment-level, regional, and business unit level financial analysis and reporting
  • Financial modeling for segments regional, and business units, including scenario-based target setting
  • External and internal benchmarking against key KPIs
  • Generate analysis and preparation of materials for Board-level and leadership team presentations
  • Support projects and processes for ongoing improved efficiencies, general ad hoc analysis, and overall team support
