Job Purpose:

The Shift Manager is a shift-based, front-line supply and operations people leader with high drive for engagement. The Shift Managers are responsible for delivering operational targets. They drive safety, quality, continuous improvement, performance management, training, associate development, transformation and change, team engagement and operating results for their assigned area through leadership of a line or area that exists within a larger Value Stream organization.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous people management experience
• Previous manufacturing experience

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering, basic science or business-related discipline
• Food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

What will your key responsibilities be?

• Manage and motivate a team 17-30 associates to meet KPIs with a quality and safety mindset while driving associate engagement and development.
• Implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure the objectives of the line/area are met, and give input and recommendations for such changes by using a Continuous Improvement mindset
• Collaborate with the Area Leadership team to improve strategies to help the line/area perform more effectively.
• Coach operators to build their functional and leadership capabilities and to drive accountability.
• Coordinate materials, staffing and resources to support line operation and changeovers.
• Ensure the ongoing production and conversion of material into quality products in safe and defect free products consistent with the principles of Mars.

Work Schedule:

• Night shift - 2-2-3 rotations (Two days on, Two days off, Three days on)
