Hybrid (2-3 days a week on-site)

The Media Finance & Reporting Manager is a centralized role which will be responsible for A&CP (Advertising & Consumer Promotion) financial management & media reporting capabilities for the Mars Petcare portfolio of brands. As the Finance & Reporting Manager you will lead all financial responsibilities for Mars Petcare, inclusive of A&CP & Media budget tracking, media PO management, media invoice approvals, etc. This role will also be responsible for developing & enhancing North America Pet Nutrition's integrated media reporting capabilities, with the goal of driving visibility to media performance across the broader organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or marketing, or experience in a relevant field required
  • 3+ years' experience in business finance & budget management
  • Minimum 1 ½ years' experience in media reporting
  • Biddable media (strategy, partners, tactics, etc.) experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience inclusive of knowledge around pivot tables, v-lookups, nested if functions, etc.
  • Experience navigating and working in PO/Shopping Basket Management Systems (Ariba, SAP, Workday, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with both short- and long-term components
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships and to collaborate effectively cross-functionally
  • Previous stakeholder management experience

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Provide analysis and insights of period results, periodic and annual A&CP forecasts, while supporting annual operating plans in partnership with Marketing, Shopper Marketing and Finance.
  • Support finance for periodic reviews with Brand Managers, marketing leadership, and Shopper Marketers highlighting insights and providing relevant budget tracking reporting with risks or opportunities to budgets, while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Deliver world class customer service by serving as the first point of contact for finance, as the primary COE (Center of Excellence) A&CP lead.
  • Develop, own and execute robust reporting to track budget performance of A&CP for business partners across Marketing, Sales and Finance.
  • Support finance with managing budget shifts between A&CP budget areas, as well as between Trade/A&CP, to ensure financial accuracy and visibility to business partners.
  • Align budgets across stakeholders consistent with brand and channel priority focus areas, providing perspective across operational and strategic timeframes.
  • Drive efficiencies through creation of automated systems and reporting solutions, to simplify and embed processes, while improving accuracy of A&CP reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement and value creation across all areas of A&CP, with an ROI mindset to deliver financial objectives.
  • Reconcile periodic national media flowcharts delivered by our National Media Agency with financial forecasts to support month close.
  • Manage various media budget processes throughout the year, including exercises like spend reconciliation / reinvestment and negotiated efficiencies.
  • Lead the approval process of National Media Purchase Orders with the AOR (Agency of Record) for marketing leadership and finance approvals across National Media budgets.
  • Lead the COE Brand QBR & bi-annual COE Spotlight reporting processes in partnership with the brand advocate team, including responsibilities such as garnering feedback from the brands, updating QBR template & project management.
  • Partner with media team & AOR to build out & develop real time media dashboarding capabilities to be used by the media team for deriving actionable insights which can then be leveraged for optimization purposes and share-outs with their brand teams.
  • Partner with the Digital Experience (DX) team to integrate reporting capabilities, pairing owned website/traffic data with media metrics to provide holistic end-to-end reporting and allow for optimizations across the user journey.
  • Lead, schedule and manage the full end to end buildouts of our integrated executive-level QBRs in partnership with the recruitment & shopper teams, as well as our AORs.
  • Manage media agency for reporting & finance workstreams
  • Manage key partnership agreements (SOWs, Contracts, Renewals) with strategic partners

  • Assist with JBP value add tracking, management & consumption
