The Role
In this position, you will work with closely with Product Management team members, Developers, QA representatives and other stakeholders responsible to help us build our state-of-the-art trading system for fixed income. You will be part of an Agile Scrum team whose goal is to build new products and enhance existing ones. You’ll interact with business and technical stakeholders across the firm who help support these initiatives and are responsible for their adoption by our clients. Adding to a well-rounded experience, you will interact heavily with intern colleagues and work on rewarding group projects together.
How You’ll Take Us There
- Gain knowledge about how the trading system works and how the team fits into the broader product landscape at MarketAxess.
- Learn skills to help Product Managers implement Agile methodologies and leverage the required tools to manage feature backlogs
- Work within a scrum team, to understand their workflow as they execute solutions.
- Learn about and document the business requirements that underpin these solutions.
- Participate in team ceremonies including daily stand ups.
- Organize group projects around meaningful company initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with sales and client support staff to ensure they understand the details of features developed so that they can adequately explain them to clients.
What We’re Looking for
- Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in business, product management, mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Sciences, or similar, graduating in 2026
- Right to work in the UK permanently without employment visa sponsorship required now or in the future
- Inquisitive and curious nature and boldness in finding answers from stakeholders across the firm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational and problem resolution skills
- Team player and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Interest in Project Management
- Ability to function well in a competitive, challenging environment, and the ability to deal with changing priorities
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of RDMBS, Jira, Jira Align, MS Visio, Word, Excel, Photoshop/Ulead Photo Impact (or equivalent graphics package for screenshots), and basic SQL queries would be great
