About the Role
The Open Trading Specialist will be responsible for cultivating relationships with MarketAxess’s dealer and client desks in order to facilitate open trading. He/she will be responsible for identifying trading opportunities and promoting their execution on the MarketAxess platform. The Trader will be responsible for facilitating trades in the corporate credit markets.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Resolution of trade disputes in collaboration with Dealer and Client Sales, and the Customer Services teams.
- Cultivating relationships with MarketAxess’s dealer and client desks in order to facilitate open trading.
- Helping the sales team drive the growth of Open Trading in the US, through areas such strategic initiatives, new product development to expand the current Asia and global business.
- Deepen relationships with sell side traders to be a resource on pricing data and market trends.
- Reporting Open Trading numbers and trends to management on a regular basis.
The candidate will be measured on:
- Increasing participation in OT in the region.
- Protecting the firm from trading losses and maintaining MarketAxess’ standing as a high quality counterparty in trading relationships.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of solid product knowledge in fixed income
- Previous experience working in a front or middle office position at a broker/dealer and/or experience in the interdealer corporate credit retail space.
- The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. A high volume of data reporting will be expected in the role
- S/he should have a focused work ethic and be operate with a high degree of diligence
- Service and results orientated
- Able to deliver results under pressure
- Can work in an entrepreneurial and start-up environment

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $140,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
