The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Identity and Access Management, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the role is responsible for overseeing the Security posture for both our software products and technology services that are delivered within the MarketAxess organization and to our business customers. The role is pivotal in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the products/solutions we produce internally here at MarketAxess as well as through partners. The individual will work closely with product development, engineering, compliance, and legal teams to create secure-by-design solutions, protect intellectual property, and safeguard against cyber threats.

How You'll Help Take Us There

•    Lead the development and implementation of a global IAM strategy aligned with business needs, security requirements, and regulatory compliance
•     Oversee the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of IAM technology solutions across the organization 
•     Ensure the effective integration of IAM solutions with existing IT infrastructure and security architecture
•     Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and technology functions
•     Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for user provisioning, authentication, access management, privileged access, and identity governance
•     Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the IAM organization
•     Manage a team of IAM specialists and ensure their professional development
•     Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the IAM space
•     Develop and maintain a comprehensive budget and resource allocation plan for the IAM program
•     Communicate effectively with senior management on IAM initiatives, operations, and risks

What We’re Looking for  

•    10+ years of experience in identity management, with a proven track record of success in leading and implementing large-scale IAM programs in global organizations
•    Strong understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices (e.g., Identity Governance, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, multi-factor authentication, recertification)
•    Experience with leading IAM vendors and solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD, Ping Identity, Entrust, SailPoint, and Oracle)
•    Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholders
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•     Strong project management and organizational skills
•     Experience working in a global environment
•    CISSP, CISA, or other relevant security certifications are a plus

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $225,000 USD to $275,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
