The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Cybersecurity Transformation to assist the CISO in driving the strategic change initiatives required to evolve and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this role is responsible for leading large-scale cybersecurity transformation projects across the enterprise, including the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge security frameworks, processes, and technologies. The role requires a strategic leader who can partner across the security departments, business units, influence senior executives, and lead cross-functional teams in delivering next-generation security capabilities. 

How You'll Help Take Us There

  • Assist the CISO with the development and execution of the organization’s cybersecurity transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business and IT goals. 
  • Assist the information security organization with the adoption of a forward-looking cybersecurity vision, incorporating emerging technologies, automation, and AI-driven security operations. 
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives, integrating security into enterprise-wide modernization efforts such as cloud migration, digital platforms, and DevOps practices. 
  • Ability to represent the CISO and other technology executives to clients, regulators, and partners.  
  • Support in improving the operational efficiency of the entire information security department by sharing and implementing best practices and standards. 
  • Help Lead large-scale, cross-functional cybersecurity programs across the various information security functions  
  • Promote innovation within the cybersecurity organization, encouraging the exploration and deployment of emerging security technologies to counter advanced threats. 
  • Ensure coordination and alignment across departments, including IT, product development, operations, and business functions, to drive the success of transformation initiatives. 
  • Serve as a key liaison between the cybersecurity function and senior leadership, communicating the progress and impact of transformation efforts. 
  • Help to influence and partner with C-level executives, business unit leaders, and external stakeholders to drive adoption and support for cybersecurity initiatives. 
  • Represent the CISO in internal and external forums, promoting the organization’s efforts to modernize security. 
  • Help the organizational shift towards a cybersecurity-conscious culture, ensuring security awareness and best practices are integrated into daily operations across all departments. 

What We’re Looking for  

•    Proven work experience in a cybersecurity leadership role like a Deputy-CISO, Business CISO, Field CISO, BISO, or a COS or COO in the Information Security department. 
•    10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on leading large-scale security transformation initiatives.
•    7+ years of leadership experience in cybersecurity, including building and managing high-performing teams.
•    Proven track record of managing complex, multi-year cybersecurity programs, ideally within a large enterprise or highly regulated environment.
•    Strong understanding of security architecture, risk management, and compliance in a modern IT environment, including cloud, DevOps, and digital transformation.
•    Expertise in implementing security frameworks, technologies, and methodologies, including zero trust, security automation, and threat intelligence.
•    Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets.
•    Experience in engaging with senior executives, boards, and external stakeholders on cybersecurity strategies and transformations.

Preferred Skills:
•    Ability to execute in complex and dynamic environments.
•    Hands-on experience with modern security technologies and platforms, including cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), security orchestration and automation (SOAR), and advanced endpoint protection.
•    Visionary thinker with the ability to articulate a long-term transformation roadmap while driving immediate, actionable improvements.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business value for executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and evolving security challenges.
•    Highly collaborative with the ability to influence and drive organizational change.

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $200,000 USD to $275,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
