The Role
As a Buy-Ins/Settlements Associate, you will continue your career journey in one of the most sought-after fields in Financial Services. This role will give you the opportunity to learn all functions within the trade lifecycle for both settlements and buy-ins. The functions performed with the settlement’s ecosystem will provide you foundational knowledge that you will add to your general knowledge as your financial services career continues.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Process DTC/CNS/Euro/Fed Buy-ins for both our US & UK Entities
- Exhibit general knowledge of both domestic and foreign Buy-in rules and regulations
- Daily notification of short accounts on potential Buy-ins
- Manage shared inbox of all Buy-in notifications and communication
- Maintain and provide excellent customer services for both internal and external clients
- Actively build strong relationships and work with other departments in both the middle and front office
- Assist other members of the team on tasks related to Buy-ins & Settlements
- Follow up on open issues and escalate to management when necessary
What We’re Looking for
- 2+ years prior Buy-In/Settlement Experience
- Knowledge of DTCC portal and Smarttrack in particular
- Ability to work in a deadline sensitive environment while maintaining good risk assessment and escalation awareness
- Good multitasking and analytical skills with the availability to prioritize processes and responsibilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Excel and Word
- Experience in using Shadow, Neolink and BMO OLBB
- Series 99/ SIE preferred (required to obtain within the first six months of employment)

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $70,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
