Role Purpose:

The Sensory Specialist will ensure the highest quality and consistency of the brewery's products through expert sensory evaluation. This involves overseeing the sensory analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished beers to maintain flavor standards and ensure that products meet both internal specifications and consumer expectations. Additionally, the role supports product innovation and development by providing sensory insights, while managing and training sensory panels to ensure reliable, consistent evaluations. Ultimately, the role aims to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and the brewery's market competitiveness.

Accountabilities & Impact:

  • Product Quality and Consistency
  • Ensure each batch meets the brewery's sensory quality standards for flavor, aroma, and appearance.
  • Sensory Panel Training and Management
  • Develop, train, and manage a sensory panel to provide reliable sensory evaluations.
  • Support for New Product development
  • Assist in sensory evaluation and refinement during new product development, ensuring market-ready quality

Skills & Experiences Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Fermentation Science or Food Science.
  • 3+ years of quality assurance experience with at least 1 year experience in food/carbonated beverage/alcohol preferred.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends/holidays
