The role:
Due to an international relocation, we are looking for a People Operations Partner to be based out of our Mission Hill Winery office in West Kelowna. In this role, you are a strategic human resources business partner to our employees and leaders in Marketing and Guest Experience and will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, training and development, succession planning, seasonal employee strategies and performance management. We are a small yet mighty People Operations team who work very closely and collaboratively together to support our collection of Okanagan wineries including Mission Hill Family Estate, CedarCreek Estate Winery, Martin's Lane, CheckMate Artisanal Winery, Road 13 Vineyards, Liquidity Wines, Red Barn, and our farming operation Sebastian Farms.

This role is based in West Kelowna at our Mission Hill winery office and relocation support will be provided to the successful candidate. What you'll do:
Total Talent Management
- Provide coaching and guidance to employees and business leaders related to performance management, compensation, organizational change, organization and job design, and other people related topics
- Drive annual headcount planning with your leadership group
- Be part of exceptional employee experiences, leading to long and rewarding careers of top global talent
- Be the first point of contact in People Operations for any employee relations issue within your client groups, responsible for case management of investigations, escalating to Director, People Operations as required
- The design and management of our annual Seasonal People Strategy, supported by a People Operations Coordinator
- Facilitate the Mentorship program for HIPO talent including gaining alignment from the leadership team on potential mentorships, and carrying out training
- Lead the semi-annual succession planning ("Talent Management Review") process for your client group, and ensure completion of the key takeaways
- Manage people movement activity within your business units - promotions, job changes, and terminations
High Performance Team
- Monthly reporting of People Metrics including headcount and turnover statistics, Reflektive Check-in completion rates, and recruitment/vacancy updates. Leverage this data to make strategic recommendations to the Director, People Operations and Leadership Team
- Drive the Monthly Reflektive Check-in process by monitoring monthly completion rates, periodically reviewing score calibration and comment quality, and completing training with managers as required
- Ensure clear RASCI documentation in place as organizational structures are updated/changed
- Work closely with functional leads to build a Business Case for any headcount allocation or organizational design changes
Connected Culture
- Participate in the Annual Engagement Survey Roll-Out and Action Planning Process with your client group
- Assist with the planning of internal events including Town Halls, Holiday Party, and others events
- Proactively cultivate and maintain positive employee relations, a motivated workforce, and an innovative and entrepreneurial culture through team-building events, etc.
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources or related from a recognized institution
- Experience advising and leading through complex people issues, including investigations
- Must hold a valid driver's license as local travel is required

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 annually complemented by a bonus plan; the base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
