What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Kelowna! Reporting to the Accounting Manager, and as a member of the Finance team, the primary responsibilities will include Retail & Hospitality accounting, assisting in the month-end close process and supporting the Finance team with timely and accurate reporting.
Accountabilities & Impact:
- Perform month-end processes and prepare monthly working papers and reconciliations of specific accounts
- Perform daily and month-end reconciliations including reconciliation of revenue, labour and other operational cost
- Support for Finance team on regular budgeting, reporting and analytical tasks
- Analyze general ledger accounts
- Support inventory processes: investigate variances, and improve reporting and/or process flows
- Assist in monthly and year-end management/audit queries
- Maintain procedural documentation and create SOP's for key processes
- Support analysis related to cost, volume, profit
Skills & Experiences Needed:
- Completed Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and the ability to connect the dots and follow data flow in various financial information systems.
- Experience with accounting software

- The typical hiring range for this position is from $60,000 to $65,000 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity
