Our client, a leader in facility operations, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a service-oriented mindset, aligning successfully within the organization.

- Ensure all safety practices are in place and followed while monitoring and maintaining plant operations.
- Perform daily rounds, record data, and make process adjustments to maintain permit compliance.
- Calibrate probes, maintain chemical feed systems, and clean inline basket strainers.
- Inspect, service, and repair plant components, including water intakes, piping, storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment, pumps, boilers, and valves.
- Prepare work orders, arrange for major repairs, and maintain an inventory of chemicals and supplies.
What’s Needed?
- Prior experience in wastewater treatment plant operations with a minimum Massachusetts Grade 1 Industrial license (full status).
- Knowledge of WWTP equipment maintenance and repair, including tools, equipment, and materials.
- Basic working knowledge of computers and the ability to follow repair timetables.
- Strong client focus and relationship management skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and vendors.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills to handle multiple operational tasks efficiently.
