Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Manager, Epidemiology & Real World Evidence to join their team. As a Manager, Epidemiology & Real World Evidence, you will be part of the Epidemiology & Real World Evidence team supporting critical research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage complex projects, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Manager, Epidemiology & Real World Evidence
Location: Durham, NC (possibly remote)
Pay: Max is $48hr
What's the Job?
- Work with members of the Epidemiology & RWE team to develop non-interventional study protocols and conduct research studies on disease burden and drug effectiveness/safety.
- Proactively manage project level aspects of RWE studies, including timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure potential project risks are escalated to the relevant Epi & RWE team members.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on topics related to the research portfolio.
- Collaborate with analysts and statisticians to conduct analyses of in-house data sources.

What's Needed?
- Masters level degree in epidemiology or related field of study with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a research organization, academic center, or pharmaceutical industry; preferably in pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology, or related area.
- Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and flexibility in taking on and performing assignments as necessary.
- Knowledge of clinical research concepts, practices, and FDA regulations regarding drug development phases, clinical research, and data management methods.
- Knowledge and experience working in the infectious disease area, specifically HIV treatment and prevention.
