Design Engineer

Our client, a design manufacturing firm supplying components to the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical Design/Project Engineer to join their team. As this design/analysis engineer, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in metal stampings, FEA, kinematics and SolidWorks 3D design. Also, a plus is strong understanding of GD&T and accountability for work at the Project Engineering level. This is a contract status role with a strong preference being given to candidates local to the Milwaukee, WI metropolitan area.
Job Title: Mechanical Design/Project Engineer
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

• Must be proficient at SolidWorks 3D design software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of metal stamping, plastic injection molding, FEA, and kinematics a plus.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and how to apply them
• Ability to share ideas with significant communication with customer engineers

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

• Organized detailed thought process.
• Very high attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
