Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Control Systems Engineer
Location: Concord, CA
Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000
What's the Job?
- Lead the development, design, and implementation of control systems and strategies to optimize industrial processes.
- Conduct field investigations to define project scope and requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Develop and review logic diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, and functional narratives for control system design.
- Collaborate on the design of control panel packages, field wiring diagrams, and other electrical and instrumentation deliverables.
- Oversee field start-up activities, including troubleshooting support to ensure successful system commissioning and operational readiness.

What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a Control System Engineer, focusing on Honeywell DCS and/or Allen Bradley PLC.
- Experience integrating control systems with hardware components such as sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex control system issues and optimize control strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams.
